Tenryu gorge is located in Tenryu Oku-Mikawa National Park where Tenryu River Boating is conducted. The Tenryu River runs through the Ina valley and flows into the Pacific Ocean, sourced by Lake Suwa. This area is the most amazing scenic spot on the Tenryu River, and looks like a landscape painting, surrounded by the great walls and strangely shaped rocks standing on both side of the river. Tenryu River Boating is thrilling boat tour which goes about 10 kilometers, and is steered through dynamic waves only by a single stick throughout the year. The available kotatsu boats are also very popular.
