Gamagori is a seaside town whose climate is warm, surrounded by Atsumi and Chita peninsulas, and whose coast area is designated as a National Park of Mikawa Bay. In the city, there are four hot springs, marine activity spots and an amusement park, which makes this area -- surrounded by mountains and the sea -- a very good place for sightseeing in Aichi. Fruit orchards are common in this mild climate, especially tangerines, which are very popular nationwide and considered the best in Japan.
