Kenroku-en (six attributes garden) covers over 25 acres, and represents a perfect example of an Edo period Chisen-Strolling style garden. It is recognized nationally as having Special Scenic Location status. Together with Koraku-en in Okayama City, and Kairaku-en in Mito City, Kenroku-en is one of the Three Great Gardens of Japan.
